What is the difference between the library catalog and SLUth?

The catalog searches for books, DVDs, journals (titles only) and other things in the library and some electronic. SLUth includes all of that, and also searches for journal articles, newspaper articles, book reviews and other things from over 60 of our specialized databases. Searching SLUth doesn't search all content the Library provides access to, but it is a good, interdisciplinary starting place for research.

If you're having trouble using SLUth, try using the chat widget embedded in the database to get help with searching and/or finding articles.

See the SLUth - Search Plus Guide for more information and for a list of the databases searched from within SLUth - Search plus.
