How can I search for articles on a specific topic?

First select a database that covers the topic you want to research or select SLUth - Search Plus

Type your topic in the search box as a keyword or phrase.

Look at the results your search brings back and select the one that seems closest to what you are searching.

Display the complete record for that item and look carefully at the subject headings.

Choose the one or two that best capture your topic.

Either click on the best subject heading, which will do a search for all articles with that subject heading


Do a new search for the subject headings you identified from the "best" article you found.
