Locating critical analyses depends upon what you want to find an analysis or criticism of.

If you are looking for art analysis, try the database Art Full Text and look for the name of the item AND (critical analysis or criticism or interpretation).

If you are looking for critical analysis of a piece of literature, try the Library Catalog and the MLA International Bibliography.

In the Library Catalog, search for the name of the author as a subject and then for either the name of the work or the more general heading "Criticism and interpretation."

Example: Rushdie, Salman.  In the catalog, the results returned will look like this.

Rushdie, Salman -- Criticism and interpretation.

Rushdie, Salman. Midnight's children

In the MLA International Bibliography, one way to locate criticism or analysis of a work is to type the name of the literary work and search for it in the SK Primary Subject Work field (select from drop-down box).

If that approach is not successful, search for the author in the SA Primary Subject Author field (select from drop-down box).

If you still do not find what you need, please contact your Research Librarian.
