Most company profiles will include some information about that company's major competitors. It is important to remember that the competitors are determined by the analyst preparing the report, rather than by the company itself, so you may notice that different competitors are named depending on the source.

In Mergent, look up your company by name or ticker symbol, then look for the "Competitors" tab. Information such as revenue, number of employees, and share price will be included for comparison purposes. You can also customize the list of competitors. Contact the Business Librarian if you need any help doing so.

In S&P NetAdvantage, look up your company by name or ticker symbol, then look for "Competitors(All)" in the left sidebar. Again, some financial information is available for easy comparison.
