Q. How can I identify new businesses in a region - those founded since a particular date?

Using Mergent Online, you can do an advanced search to look for companies in a certain state, city or ZIP code founded since a particular year.

• Click the blue Advanced Search tab.
• Be sure that both USA company databases AND D&B Private Company Database are selected.
• Add your criteria of State (or City) and Year Incorporated/Founded. 
• Click Submit, then View. Click any company name to view additional information (note that for private companies, the profiles will probably be pretty brief).
