You will often get good results by using a multi-disciplinary article database such as Academic Search Complete or you can try SLUth - Search Plus, a system that searches many databases and the library catalog at the same time.

However, SLU's libraries subscribe to many specialized databases that are useful for research in various subjects.  To get a feel for the databases that are likely to be best for a particular subject, click on the Databases tab on the SLU Libraries homepage and look for your subject in the Doing research on... drop-down list.
