Q. Where can I find average inventory turnover for a particular industry?

Use RMA's eStatement Studies, which can be searched by industry name or NAICS code. There are figures available for total Inventory, Cost of Sales/Inventory (typically the calculation for inventory turnover) as well as Change in Inventory.
NOTE: Since this source often includes figures for upper, median and lower within each line item, it can be easier to read/interpret if you use the Export option to open the report in Excel.

The Almanac of Business & Industrial Financial Ratios also includes Inventory Turnover for many industries. It is organized by NAICS code. You will find this book on the 2nd floor of Pius Library.
