It's very possible that you won't be able to find articles on your topic that make the exact same argument you'd like to make. Your paper hasn't been written yet. You have to write it. Before you begin, you need to learn about your topic and gather relevant information. You can then formulate your thesis based on the information you've found and write the paper you were hoping to find. You may begin your research with a preconceived notion of what your argument or thesis will be, but that may change based on the information you find. This is how research works and why we do it.
