Access PubMed, and click on "Sign in to NCBI", then click on "Register for an NCBI account" to get started. There is also an option to sign in with Google, if that is preferred. Once an NCBI account is created, a user can save records, create search notifications, and set up collections to categorize records, along with other options. It should be noted that while PubMed can be searched for free from anywhere, it indexes content that requires a subscription. To access articles that SLU subscribes to, the user will need to be in the SLU network.
