Note: as of June 2025, the "full ebook" download option is temporarily unavailable from the EBSCO mobile app (and possibly from a mobile browser) while EBSCO completes accessibility enhancements.
You can checkout and download a full ebook from a PC or Mac computer. Once you've done that, you can sync ebooks downloaded from your computer to your mobile device using the Adobe Digital Editions app.
Here are the steps to download an EBSCO ebook from your web browser:
1. Go to the full record of the book (here)
2. Sign into your MyEBSCO account in the top right corner
3. Click the "Access options" drop down and choose either "PDF full text" or "EPUB full text"
4. Click the download icon in the top right corner (the downward pointing arrow)
5. Click the "full ebook" tab
6. Select your desired borrowing period from the drop down
7. Select your desired format: PDF or EPUB
8. Make sure that you have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your computer. If you do not, click here for instructions on how to download and install
9. Once you have Adobe Digital Editions installed, check the box next to "I have Adobe Digital Editions or equivalent installed"
10. Click "download"
11. Open the title in Adobe Digital Editions to read by clicking on the title from your downloads list
You can read an ebook downloaded this way from a mobile device if you also have the Adobe Digital Editions app on that device. You will need to authorize both the desktop and mobile versions of Adobe Digital Editions using an Adobe ID. You can create an Adobe ID here. Once you do that, anything downloaded and opened in your computer's Adobe Digital Editions should automatically sync to the mobile app.
